Shouldnt there be some kind of copyright for this? As there both sort of sentient planets, both hurtling towards what is basically earth which will destroy it.... except one has a beard.

Takio Issue 1

I have an Exam Tomorrow so here is a quick review.

Randomly found this comic, so I thought why not? At first I wasn’t too sure if it was actual the first issue cause of the internet confusing the hell out of me, as well as the comic itself! There was a “previously” blurb, so I was very very confused, but after reading the fine print it is the first issue ever. I tell you that was a fun filled morning, trying to figure out if this was a later issue or different series.

So Takio follows the first two superheroes, which happen to be two young girls (who are adopted sisters) in high school because of some clichéd experiment which caused them to gain powers, well it was them two and one other girl, but of course she turned evil apparently, and there was some sort of battle between them.. That you don’t see.  This is what they look like:

Can you understand my confusion yet? All this stuff has happened that you never see, it’s just mentioned in dialogue, so basically in a ridiculous fashion that all this character development has happened but we don’t see any of it. Maybe there saving it for another time as it is the first issue and don’t want to bore readers with origin stories. But this doesn’t necessarily make the comic better!

Ok so we have two girls who want to keep their identities secret, but are still trying to be super-heroes, though they are not amazing at their jobs just yet because they just started, all we know is that they can do this:

Apparenty it’s some sort of telekinesis power, which also allows one of them to fly…. And is often referred to as Kung-Fu Telekinesis.  I realise these are quite vague details, but the details given in the comic are incredibly vague anyway.

Don’t really know what to expect in later comics, I assumed some sort of capitilization of super-powers as this is what the villains do, and I was right. Making some sort of super-soldier or whatever, but they need to use the apparently super-villain girl blood as a catalyst or whatever to find the source of the power. I obviously guessed there would be some adverse reaction from it and this:

Shows it, would be nice to be surprised for once.

Overall, I don’t really know what to say, I may get it when it comes out as a complete collection cause the single issue just isn’t doing it for me, it all felt rushed and not really thought out. But that may be exam stress talking.

One last thing, comic book artists who ever draw, this is what happens when you draw heads a lot bigger than you do bodies:

It just does not look right.

On that note, all images used from comic come from my copy, but it all belongs to the creators and their hardwork.

Until next time.
