Assorted Geekery: HARDCORE

HARDCORE

Some good news: made it to 1000 views yesterday which was nice, bad news: exams around the corner and feeling ill, L so short review and that’s it for today.

This is one of the new released issues for 2012’s pilot week type thing so I thought I give it ago because the one or two worded “in your face” titles seem to have some worth to them, so HARDCORE joins the ranks of “Forgetless, Hell Yeah and Kick Ass” in short snappy titles.

This one does have an interesting plot though, an assassin known as Drake using other bodies to kill targets that they originally wouldn’t be able to get close to without years of planning; instead they use a device called “Hardcore” which allows a person who looks like this (Drake):

Do this:

So this assassin kills someone in a totally different body, aiming for the quick and clean sort of thing. It reminds me a little of assassin’s creed, but you invade people and completely take over them. So its more like playing a video game with real people.

They try to add some pseudo-science which is sort of believable, shoot the hardcore chip into back of targets neck so you can invade brain stem and take over. Would have thought the victim would be a bit confused by the whole something just went into back of their neck.

I also would have thought that would cause a considerable amount of pain if there is like some sort of bondage from within.

But that’s just thinking too much into the detail, must remind ourselves it’s not real. Like the fact it may have been easier to just control the actual target and make them kill themselves or whatever, but I suppose some people are harder to get to than others, although there is no problem with getting people who are close to said target.

In this issue you are introduced to the hardcore program, its user, demonstrations of action sequences, which actually run quite smoothly art wise because usually action sequences can look robotic but this pulls it off quite well I Think:

It also introduces Marcus the antagonist, who is the original creator of hardcore, who was thrown off the program after he made it. As well as Drake having a better physical record than him, because you need to be strong apparently to use the program, and if the physical likeness of the person you’re controlling is the same as you, the easier the process. Obviously…

But yeah, Marcus invades the site location because he’s all jealous and pull of pride etc, what all villains usually have in common, and has left Drake within a body that is meant to kill someone, because in true villain fashion, why take the easy way out and shoot Drake where he stands in that tub you saw earlier.  He even says “don’t plug out, Or I’ll shoot you” basically, not a direct quote…

I dont even think Drake did much wrong, he's basically a grunt? Confused at this prospect
This is Marcus with a really strangely drawn face, he doesnt look like this in other panels, funny how they put effort into drawing the female face

Oh he also has 72 hours, cause the hardcore chip dissolves after this and if your still in the body by then, bad stuff hits the metaphorical fan I guess.

I may pick up this comic again but it won’t be my first choice, I did enjoy it but it didn’t convey enough in 25 pages to make me want more.

All images belong to creators and what not, but the images stem from my copy of the issue Hardcore.
No other assorted Geekery today because I feel crappy, but there will be more tomorrow.

You can comment if you want me to read a comic to review, doesn’t matter if it’s old or new, and follow my posts if you enjoy them.

Assorted Geekery- Avenging Spider-Man 5

Avenging Spider-Man Issue 5

I fancied re-reading issues 5-7 of marvels “Avenging Spider-Man”, so I thought why not review them as well because this has been a very lazy Saturday, even more so than usual I might add,  so here we go.

The Avenging Spider-Man series premise so far is “Wouldn’t it be cool if Spider-man teamed up with…*insert super-hero*?”. Not much of a story otherwise, of course there is something happening which requires a super-hero team up, but nothing end of the world type of thing.

This issue is no different, it sort of carries on from Issue 4 when Spider-man teamed up with Hawkeye, hence this next picture, which did make me laugh because at least marvel can show that sometimes they are not taking things overly-serious.

It’s Captain America’s turn to be teamed up with spider-man this month but only because Spidey learns that the Cap used to be a bit of a nerd before he took steroids, I mean super-soldier serum. This is also the running theme of the series, as in: let’s look deeper into the characters for example hawk-eye being one of the two avengers who are non-powered so that does cause some psychological bearing on him of being a perfectionist and never missing.

The deeper meaning/question to Captain America is: “what happened to the little kid who turned into captain America?” because anyone who has watched the movie or read some books knows he used to be a frail boy-child, which means he was bullied and so therefore he ‘must’ be a nerd in some way…. All I can say is “Yay for stereotypes”.  But yes he was aspiring comic book artist before he got pumped up on drugs.

So anyway spider-man finally sees some common gound between himself and Cap, so he makes sure he teams up with him in the most shameless fashion, because he even tells the team he is going to, because they are both “nerds” so they can have nerd love or whatever.

So yep, they do the mission, get given some fighting scenes:

But alas, Captain America doesn’t want anything to do with his past because that has gone away obviously, and Spider-Man will not force him to regress basically. Seriously though how could marvel writers expect us to think nothing comes from this prying? Of course the cap sits with spider-man and does some assorted geekery …. ;)

Bless em:

I cant believe this is another comic which makes some sort of Twitter reference, OKAY we get it, TWITTER is taking over, people are hash tagging everything they ever tweet. #wegetit, #calmdown. #lovinglife

Good comic-ish, seems more of a random interlude comic if anything, like something you would expect after world-changing event, not an entire seasons of deep prying into the psyche of ALL the avengers, because there is a lot of them, so it might be a long series.

Probably the only reason you may want to read it is this:

Yup, you see him Punch Hitler, in the face what nostalgia.

Until next time

kylefictions assorted geekery

Today I finally got the latest Avengers Vs X-Men issue, so here is my review only two days late or whatever.

Avengers Vs. X-Men Issue 4

All pictures belong to marvel and its creators, pictures used come from my own personal issue.

This issue kicks off after Wolverine is knocked out of the plane screaming “AHHHHH”; I don’t why this still cracks me up though, probably because I’m really immature. At least Wolverine has great survival instincts.

(polar bear)
Yes that is him holding beer whilst simultaneously wearing a polar bears skin, im not surprised he just doesn’t wear one of those stickers saying “Hello, My name is: Bad-Ass”, probably because he’s too bad-ass for that kind of tomfoolery.

BTW he’s holding beer because Hope the little phoenix host left them to lead wolverine to her; I must say this is great planning skills from the writers of this comic, I salute you. Hope mission is to basically get into space to accept the phoenix, or whatever the hell she is meant to do and reignite the mutant race.  Scouts
Honour.

However this is the first time you hear of Hope willingly want to do this, before she didn’t seem bothered just like “wtf, why is the phoenix chosen me?”, meaning this doesn’t make sense why she RAN AWAY from the X-Men who had the EXACT same plan. I mean seriously? Did something happen?

Meanwhile some other basically meaningless stuff happens, the Avengers and X-Men are still continuing to look for Hope throughout the far corners of the earth, but ironically only where other mutants and avengers do their dialy business like Latveria or Wakanda. Because I’m sure if I was on the run I would run to the places where most of my kind LIVE…. Blargh!

Thor also tries to take on the Pheonix:

Tony Stark makes up some bogus theory why the Pheonix is so powerful, turns out it was born during the big bang or something ridiculous, so to kill it you need a even more ridiculous sounding weapon, that basically cracks universe expansion?  I mean WHAT surely that is not a good thing to make!   Yeah and then the avengers and x-men have random little battles throughout the place, just because they have separate causes, the thing actually says: “I don’t even care whats going on, I just like punching you in the face” GREAT LOYALTY THERE amiright….

So all these punch outs happen, would like to know why these specific people are fighting, some are obviously from older rivalries, gah this comic is just an excuse for superheroes to beat up superheroes but not in a smart or clever way. At least in “Civil War” it made sense.

BAH! The comic ends with a standoff on the “Blue side of the moon” because apparently that’s the best place for Hope to take on the phoenix, but obviously the X-Men and Avengers figure out she goes there. But they only send 6 on each side for some unknown reason. The earlier picture of spider-man and daredevil beating up Juggernaut now doesn’t make sense, because HE IS NOW IN SPACE.  Maybe next time they should just send them all there because that would make more sense than this.

After Reading this comic and realising I have to wait 3 more weeks to see if it redeems itself, I felt like this.

Assorted Geekery

So my little ranting review of X-Men Vs. Avengers I just want randomly scrounging the internet for something cool to look at, or to learn something, but mainly to look at stuff. But I learnt some stuff today
Number 1: 8 Actors you wont believe voiced famous cartoon characters

Found this random article at: http://www.cracked.com/article_19239_8-actors-you-wont-believe-voiced-famous-cartoon-characters.html/ I actually found it quite interesting learning about the most random people playing even randomer characters, honestly this really speaks for it self but I wanted to talk about it a little.
4 Points

·        How the hell did FERGIE play a character in Charlie Brown’s Peanuts, that it is such a randomer carreer move when you’re a child, I understood the old Disney channel show where Justin timberlake and Britney Spears started. But Peanuts?! Woah, mind is blown.
http://triblocal.com/bolingbrook/files/2011/04/say-what.jpg

·        Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, was also SHREDDER in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the “heroes in a half-shell” (or is it turtle-shell) series, again really really random, I rememeber him as the loveable chunky uncle Phil, not Shredder the mega-git.

·        Vin Diesel was the Iron Giant. First off I don’t even remember that thing talk, let alone realise it was Vin Diesel, not quite that strong badass you try to be are you Vinnie? You were in a kid’s film, muhahahah.

·        I would love these parts on my CV, “Oh so you were Shredder in Teenage mutant ninja turtles? You’re hired!

Random Critical Analysis Of Star Trek

To be honest I don’t really like Star Trek that much but this short video intrigued me, I used to Film and Media studies that would pick apart Film and Televison and apply certain theories such as postmodernism and what not. However we also did star trek once saying how it was all racial harmony and what not. Not saying it isn’t! Because it is, but also this video mentions themes of dystopia and what not which tickled my intrigue center, so give it a look. Iron Man Assorted Geekery

Still haven’t got around to buying to purchasing X-Men Vs. Avengers (Whoops), but today I thought I do things a little different. I’m Sort of combing the comic review with the assorted geekery for one reason:

IRON MAN! (Iron Man 3 news)

Not too sure how to go about this so I will start with the comic review.

IRON MAN EXTREMIS

http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/3/38780/1311695-iron_man_extremis_directors_cut_5_super.jpg

Iron Man Extremis, was created by Warren Ellis and Adi Granov. This is a special Arc which records one of Tony Stark’s evolutions as Iron Man, as the man in the suit persona changes because much like technology, it will always improve and get better
.
This rings true with Iron Man, even though since this issue he has gone through more changes, but it links in with my Iron Man special so bear with me.

The basic premise of this story is that a new villain, which was created through a project known only as “Extremis” which was recently stolen. Unfortunately Tony himself cannot handle this villain, so he has to go through a change, and ultimately adapt to become a better stronger hero.

However the villain isn’t real given much detail except for that he’s a terrorist and what not, and he’s been super-powered by extremis. Okay, “Extremis” is another rendition of Captain-America’s super-soldier program, throwing big words at readers like “Bio-organics” which basically change the user after a cocoon like experience which basically upgrades the subject from the inside, causing things like…

being bullet proof (and super strength):

Breathing Fire

Electric Hands!

I sort of see as if a the Iron Man suit was disguised by a human suit, almost like a cyborg, but still remaining human, just a different “human blueprint”, Im sorry if it sounds overly-complicated. So basically: Take serum cause cocoon resulting in  becoming super-human, with dragon breath and electric stuff.  Capable of beating the crap out of Iron Man.

Wish I could tell my body to do that… but I digress.

You probabaly guessing what happens now, Tony has to take the extremis solution (and improve it), so he can become more “man in suit” to “Superhero”, almost like if Batman decided he wanted be Superman… but with science.
http://www.worldofsuperheroes.com/wp-content/themes/tribune/scripts/timthumb.php?src=http://www.worldofsuperheroes.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/supbat-funnies.jpg&w=300&h=350&zc=1

Tony also becomes more like a internet connection as well, he can now access satalies and ring people! With his brain! This is impressive I guess, but at least when he combines with the suit he becomes extra bad-ass than normal. “Iron-man on the inside, and outside” puts it in perspective. Oh and he can put on the suit with his mind, as long as he’s near it I guess? Or maybe he just says something like “accio iron-main suit” why did I just use a harry potter reference….lame.

Overall it is a good story which allows Iron Man to develop and become a bad-ass (even more so), only problem is the art. Everything looks like  a photo that has been coloured in… which made it abit hard to read, and nothing happened for like the first half! Blargh.

Iron Man Assorted Geekery

http://i.annihil.us/u/prod/marvel//universe3zx/images/thumb/f/f5/IronMan_Head.jpg/406px-IronMan_Head.jpg

Ok so you’ve read my review and break down of Extremis, and this all possibly links to the new Iron Man 3 movie which has got me pretty excited though we all have to wait AGES for the film to come out.

It has been released that Eric Savin will be joining the iron man films, played by a guy called “James Badge Dale”… I don’t know who this actor is either, but apparently he has graced our screens with “Shame”, and “the Departed”, its weird I’ve seen “The Departed” but I do not remember this guys face at all. He also has television roles in CSI and 24, but I don’t watch that type of show except for Castle (wooo Nathan Fillon). Anyway this guy:
http://cdn.mos.totalfilm.com/images/j/james-badge-dale-joins-iron-man-3-103064-470-75.jpg

Who’s alter ego in the Comics is ColdBlood, erm this guy:
http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix3/coldblood75.jpg

Its weird because this isn’t the guy in extremis, but apparently the film is based heavily on the “extremis” stories, rather than wherever coldblood is from, all I know is that the character “Eric Savin” was in charge of “Project Ultra” some sort of cybernetics type thing before he lost his leg in a landmine. Then went evil after going cyborg, I may need to read up on this.

I basically think this character will be replacing the villain in “Extremis” for the Iron Man 3 spectacular, because Iron man being beaten up by a super bio-enhanced character is more believable than Iron Man not being able to beat up a half cyborg-half man. This also allows the super-serum to get another mention which is semi-believable in film universe.

So let’s see what happens next year! But if what I said happens…
CALLED IT!

Walking Dead Issue 97#

I couldn’t be bothered to go get the new avengers vs xmen today so I decided to review the latest walking dead. As you may know this series has been running for many years and made Robert Kirkman, very very famous and quite rich, so good for him.

Overview if you have been under a rock since the release of walking dead, including the tv show: Zombies have appeared, and they did what they do best, eat everyone, forever spawning more zombies (it’s a big planet remember) causing a lot of mess for everyone who are still alive.

It follows a band of survivors led by Rick Grimes, who woke up in hospital after the outbreak of the virus, so it’s like 28 days later in that aspect, but since waking up and finding his family he has gone over a 97 issue adventure where a lot has happened. Seriously a lot, sometimes even I don’t remember it fully. Rick’s group has gained and lost so many members, you may  lose count, but you will always remember the important ones who were lost, including Rick’s Wife and Baby, which is quite ballsy of the writers I thought and sort of heart-breaking, considering it’s a comic book.

The premise is quite simple, “oh we think we’re safe” than the manure hits the proverbial fan and you lose some people, but you never know who! It also adds a slight twist on the zombie story, as it is more about character development from lazy couch potatoes to full blown survivors. As well as people are mostly the more evil threat than the brain-munching zombies. The governor springs to mind here, who will appearing in Walking Deads 3rd tv season at the end of quarter four.

This issue could be seen as semi-special as it begins the latest arc which will lead up to the 100th issue where I’m sure something spectacular and earth shattering will happen, this is what makes the series so great stuff will always happen that forever changes the storyline and the characters within it. For example Rick’s son carl was at first care-free and acted his age, naievity and stuff like that, until all the events have slowly changed him, turning him into a little bad-ass you wouldn’t want to cross.

This new arc is called “Something To Fear” which follows “A Larger World” story chapter, Rick has became allies with a new community which outnumbers his own by a helluva lot, but they are all weaker than his little group of rag-tag survivours. However this community has resources which Rick needs, which brings in a weird “barter” system right about now because for a constant supply of… supplies…. Rick will take care of a group called the “Saviours” which is reallllyyyyy unoriginal.

Still don’t get his readiness to take on a group of unknown size but it’s what he wants to do. This issue is more about introducing the saviours and Rick telling the group that they have to take out this unknown group. As well as some new developments in characters concerning romantic and baby mama wise.

The saviours turn out to be a motorcycle gang, led by a character called "Neegan" who seemed to have transformed this group into some sort of cult or sect, but a heavily armed one,. Rick and co, easily take them on, but of course there is more to come, but your given the idea that they’re possible walking into a situation they cannot deal with.
Person in Picture is not neegan.
And so ends the issue, the story as always is brilliant, but there is one thing that will constantly bother me. The art. It was great in the first 5 issues or so, but since hten it has gradually dropped and got worse to the point where it’s only good at death scenes, and everything else is just as a possible standard to make out who is who.

But im pretty sure Kirkman and co wont fail to deliver an epic for their 100th issue extravaganza

Btw: All images come from my copy of the issue, but belong to "Image" at www.imagecomics.com

My Initial reaction : “XD XD, XD, XD, XD”

Damn this is some good drawing! Or Painting or however this was created. Not many things can pull fighting Nazis whilst on a gigantor squirrel, but Chewbacca. He truly “Nails it!” the artist does a great job at pulling this off.

Wonder how long till someone frames this and its put in their house?

State of chaos

No idea how old this is but I sort of just stumbled upon it and gave it ago. All you do is enter your name and street address and it creates a short clip of said street being blown to smitherines by a random tai fighter on legs.

Its hella cheesey, much like that app where your record something then it blows up relased for “Ghost Protocal”. Its not that long but its mix of google earth pictures and images makes it kind of believable. My house doesn’t have a mailbox though… technically it was my Mums house.....

So you can either enter in your address or your arch nemesis’ but either way, go blow something up!
Until next time…KABOOM!

KyleFiction Comic Review: Nancy In Hell #2

So I though “hey, why not continue reading Nancy In Hell”, I have a habit of if I start something, I finish it regardless. So here is my review of Nancy in hell issue 2.

This issue creates background around the character of Lucifer, to answer such questions as why he doesn’t have horns and look like everything else that’s in this book (that isn’t human). I honestly don’t think readers would have had many questions, but they were answered.

Lucifer is still seen as the creator of hell, but it was more vicarious than on purpose. It puts a theological twist on the big bang theory, such as describing that at first there was only darkness and it was “Happy” so its seen as entity again, (much like hell is). However “God” a unknown entity came and declared “let there be light”.

As you can see this god follows the stereotype, gigantic omnipotent figure with white hair and a beard… Whilst god created matter and what not, he created his first first-borns, i.e. the Angels. However at the same time, the original darkness was forced into a corner to run away from this new found light, so the darkness is sad (L). Earth and everything was ok for a while until God decided to create Humans with free will, which angered God because Lucifer felt every creation should be equal. Big mistake to question Gods will (apparently).

God casts out Lucifer, there is some sort of mention of war, but it seemed an excuse to show boobage of the female angels. Lucifer is then filled with such guilt the darkness feeds of this and creates hell so it can feed on my souls, essentially becoming a living organism that is never fully satisfied.

So after Lucifer has his weird emo fit, Nancy and Lucifer continue their journey to escape hell.  Unfortunately the darkness doesn’t like this so much like a human body it adapts itself and creates “anti-bodies” to kill nancy and retrieve Lucifer, because he is needed to keep hell running. These “anti-bodies” take shape in demons, such as Mr. Macabre who is actually called Pytho who in his true from looks like the “Cthulu”
This Thing:

However Mr. Macabre has no intention of retrieving Lucifer and Nancy, so a another character “Cheitan” takes the helm in a confrontation with Lucifer and Nancy. But before this you learn more about Nancy, never would have guessed she was a cheerleader….

As the Image shows, she knows she is not a nice person, but she had friends and what not. So you can begin to feel bad for her, as you know her friends are dead, but you see her friends this time, one of which was her boyfriend, which was sort of easy to guess. You also see the person who murdererd Nancy, who actually appears to have more to do with the plot than just simply sending her to hell, meaning he has reasons which are unknown as of yet.

The friends make a reappearance, which explains the backstory…

captain-obvious much? To trap Nancy, this is where “Cheitan” makes his appearance, and so ends Issue 2.

This issue does have some Solid-ish story, with some pretty aesthetically pleasing art. But nevertheless there is still all the unneeded sex appeal, I understand that Nancy is a strong wilful character, but she doesn’t have to have NO CLOTHES to portray this, im pretty sure she lost her boob-tube this time, so she runs around in a Bra and Short shorts with a chainsaw strapped to her. GAH! COMICS WHY YOU SO WEIRD?.

Avengers Assemble together 1 Billion dollars for damages to new York.

Thought I just write about the Avengers today as the latest version of Avengers vs. Xmen has been released (which I will review at some point when I go and buy it) and The “Avengers Assemble” movie reached its $1 Billion aims after just 19 days, who knows what the actual grossing will be but this is very impressive.

For those who have not seen the movie, go see it! You don’t really need any background knowledge, except for maybe watching the previous movies such as Iron Man and Thor.  This link http://edition.cnn.com/2012/05/14/showbiz/movies/stan-lee-avengers/index.html?iref=allsearch, shows Stan “The Man” Lee revelling in its success. I found it quite odd that he hasn’t really made that much money of them considering he created them, but at least he gets cameos which he thoroughly enjoys.

I do think that the recent success of Avengers will spawn more Marvel films, but lets hope they adhere to a good standard please! No more Ghost Riders…

Baby Avengers

Recently uploads of Avengers in either Chibi or Baby forms are appearing if you look in the right places, the avengers were already pretty awesome but combining that with chibi makes them so darn cute!
Example Here:

But many more can be found just by simply typing in “Baby Avengers”

Read up on Epic Storylines with the avengers

As you may know the avengers have been around since the 70’s so there is a lot of content to get through, this may sounds like an impossible task but http://acomicbookblog.com/2011/06/avengers-where-to-start-reading/ have put together an extensive list which should make things easier to get the core storylines and keep up with the continuity of the Avengers Universe, although not too sure how Avengers Vs. Xmen will effect this.

Some part of me would like to see some deaths to shake things up, but another part realises that everything will most likely go back to normal after this cross over event. Hopefully not because of some time-travel thingy, because that is lame.

Comic Review: Nancy In Hell Issue 1

All Images used belong to Image Comics, copied from own copy of issue

Created by El Torre and Juan Jose Ryp

The saga of Hell Yeah, is now over. This next comic was recommended to me by something or someone… maybe Amazon because after reading this I realised I most likely wasn’t told to read this by a person. This is a strange comic so far and definitely made for adults!

It follows a young-ish woman called Nancy (duh) who recently passed away in the most unfortunate outfit of short shorts and torn boob tube like piece of cloth, but at least she kept her bra on. Good for her. She at first refers to her death was much like a plot to a 80’s horror movie, where teens get killed off, but the sexy big breasted girl kills the psycho and lives, but in this version she got to the end and died.

This is a useable version of her I could find without any trashy sex appeal.

I instantly thought this “Doesn’t the big breasted, slutty girl…erm..Die first?”, because she looks exactly like that sort of character who is there for eye candy and untimely death. She interestingly doesn’t refer to self as a slut, so you get a possible insight into her character, maybe doesn’t accept herself or whatever. Either way she’s a fouled mouth violent barely clothed lady…in hell. Oh, and the first image of her is of what can only be called a close-up of her crotch as she drinks whiskey. So right now she sounds (and looks) more porn-star than horror-star

This is a 4 part series so not a lot happened in this issue, just the introduction of some characters and of hell, the first demon type creature you see are two female with red skin, wearing hardly any clothes.
*Side note* I Constantly thought to myself, “what have I gotten myself into with this”

At least they instantly wanted to kill Nancy, not… you get the idea. The choice of words in this scene was odd, the ironic gangster type saying “God knows to stay out of our house”. pfft classic lines. And one of the demons saying “Kiss her, Eat her” whilst her face was next to Nancy’s crotch. I mean try to be subtle at least? Dirty buggers.

She is saved at least, and brought back to a sort of reimagining of the strip club in “Total Recall”, because when you’re damned you have nothing better to do but dance on tables almost nude. At least we know why they’re in hell.  She is then giving some twisted philosophy, from a character called the “Philosopher”.

There are some interesting ideas such as Hell is a living entity, with possible hints of psychological projection creating the hellish place, which ultimately assimilates with everything that comes into contact with it, “Akira” style.  They also describe hell as freedom because of abolishment of every law ever existed so they can still have a good time before they die… again.

Nancy herself describes this sort of decadence as “Eternity in a heavy metal video” which is kind of profound if a half-naked bum wasn’t next to her face. The Fun and games doesn’t last long  though when “hell hounds” come into play, so Nancy can demonstrate she is such a badass with a chainsaw she just randomly creates, I think it’s with her mind because there is nothing on her clothing that could fit that.

Hell-Hounds are quite well designed, not exactly original but good cannon fodder for our slightly dressed heroine. Also allows the introduction of possibly antagonist “Mr Macabre” with his very original name. I think he is some kind of Human Hunter, for whatever reason, will have to continue reading.
But he at least looks evil:

Nancy escape not being seen by Mr Macabre, but falls into a pit of brain-dead (zombies), who want nothing more than to munch on her because they are at the end of their assimilation process. But alas she is saved by mysterious helper who looks slightly like Jesus, who is actually Lucifer. However before she is saved by him, you have to endure representations of Demon Orgies, whilst a narrator (Lucifer) judges them all, and possibly the reader for reading! Shame on you!

Lucifer is most likely the guide type character, or romance, to help Nancy on some sort of redemption maybe… but one thing is clear: they plan to escape hell.

I did enjoy the writing in this story, not to sure of the highly sexualisation of women though. Its Comics like this that give comics a bad name! There is a real need to stop misrepresenting women in these type of books, it probably gains them horny teenage viewer, but that shouldn’t make you throw away your dignity, unless the creators are pervs of course.

Not too sure whether or not to carry on with this series because it’s really hard to find pictures that are suitable! Oh well! Till next time… fluff my llama?
